Our Story
Self-discovery is never actually achieved alone. For this reason, we wanted to include a whole team in creating something memorable for you. We are passionate about inspiring and encouraging women to embrace and respect their journeys. When thinking of OYH pieces, we wanted to create a platform where we could collaborate with multiple creatives—writers, artists, etc. to bring to life a jewelry piece that could encourage women to speak powerful reminders and messages over themselves and their hearts.
Over Your Heart Pieces was founded due to a dream that our founder, Emilee Phelps had.
“OYH Pieces came to me in a dream one night in November of 2022. I had been doing a lot of healing, self growth and reflection in my own life during the time. I had found so much freedom in speaking positive words over my heart and life every day. I learned how powerful our minds are and how speaking positively to ourselves fills the heart with courage and love. When I woke up, I wrote down the vision for OYH where a necklace was symbolic of an encouraging message to remind yourself of as you go on throughout your day wearing it.
I have always found comfort in a necklace. Whether it be something to fidget with, to hold onto, or a reminder of someone special who gave it to you. The pieces I have kept the longest always seem to have significant meaning or a story behind them.
